STEP 1: SET UP
Protecting the environment along with the safety of our workers is paramount. In order to protect the environment we may need to divert the down pipes from tanks and street based storm water run off. Any over hanging trees will also need to be trimmed back.
STEP 2: FUNGICIDE TREATMENT
A fungicide is sprayed onto the roof prior to water blasting if required. This will loosen the build up of moss and organic matter on the roof.
STEP 3: WATER BLAST and REPAIRS
To thoroughly clean the roof surface a powerful water blast is required. The pressure required is approx 3000 psi. This will remove any dirt and contamination deposits on your roof. At this stage any repairs are carried out. All roof fixings will be checked and the caulking used on the top nails will be renewed to ensure a water tight roof. New tiles are also installed at this stage if required. Overlaying tiles rather than replacing will help prevent future tile damage in that location.
STEP 4: Re CHIP
The roof is rechipped to replace the stone removed by weather or storm damage. An acrylic binder is used to adhere the stone chip to the roof. The re chipping is not an exact science so the surface may experience some “shiny” spots until the coating settles. This is normal.
STEP 5: TOP COAT
At Restyle we use 2 top coats to ensure a long lasting finish. An angled tip is used to ensure full coverage of the tile. The coats are applied in a cross hatch pattern to ensure coverage of the tiles from all angles.
STEP 6: RELAX
Sit back and relax knowing that Restyle has done the job that we quoted at a fixed price and cleaned up after ourselves before we left.
