ROOF RESTORATION BRISBANE

From Tweed, Brisbane to Noosa

Asbestos Cement Roofs (Fibro Roof Sheeting)

STEP 1: ROOF SET UP

While restoring your roof protecting your environment along with the safety of our workers is paramount. Any over hanging trees will be trimmed back. Water tanks will be diverted to prevent any contamination entering your tank.

STEP 2: HAND CLEAN ROOF

Because of the nature of the 2 pack epoxy sealer a simple hand clean of any areas of large organic growth is all the preparation that is required. No messy or illegal water blasting.

STEP 3: REPAIR OR REPLACE ROOF SHEETS

Roof sheets that have cracked or have small holes can be repaired prior to encapsulation. Larger holes or broken sheets will need to be covered with new sheets. The new sheets are made from Zincalume steel molded to the same profile as the original sheeting and once coated look like fibro sheets.

As most fibro roofs are getting older it is advisable to look at other maintenance issues such as replacement of the screws, including new seals and washers, and repointing of ridge caps.

STEP 4: EPOXY SEALER

Two coats of a two pack three part epoxy sealer is applied an uncoated to the roof. It has been proven to hold the fibers together and form a hard bond over the sheet. This product is sprayed on to the roof surface.

STEP 5: TOP COAT

Two coats of a water based acrylic roofing top coat are applied to the roof. Both coats are applied with a spray gun to ensure an even coverage over the entire surface. The optional heat reflective coatings are suitable for fibro roofs.

STEP 6: RELAX
